2nd birthday party

Am I the only one who has started thinking about this? I am excited because my son is super into Mickey, so I feel like he will get a little input this year.

Yes! I started a pinterest board for a bear theme. We did Mickey theme for 1st bday. There are sooooo many cute options for Mickey.

I started thinking about this a few months ago, lol. We're going to go to Sesame Place and the Please Touch Museum. Any PA ladies taken their Lo to Sesame Place???? How was it?

Yes! I already have the tickets! We are doing "A Day out with Thomas" - it's really cool they do up a train like Thomas with all that goes along with it. I bought all the tix for immediate family than we will do pizza and cake after.

I'm getting them those power jeeps for their birthday.

I have started buying their gifts. I will be re-doing their room and moving them to toddler beds. Their bedding is going to be fire trucks and I am going g to do a red table lamp and a red valence. Also looked at doing a ladder sideways with the phrase "Brothers are best friends for life" above it.

My only thoughts on the party so far are having a cook out and maybe a sprinkler for the kids since the boys will be old enough to enjoy it this year.

I haven't thought of a theme yet, DD will probably have a say in it. Just debating if I want to invite all the people I did to her 1st birthday or keep it smaller, or do DH family and my family a different day. Our families get along well enough but if I do it separate I don't have to have his family and their craziness in my house! lol

I am planning it, and started thinking about it last month. I am doing a big birthday bash for the boys (their birthdays are a week apart) and thinking of a monster theme or a car, train, plane theme

I'm probably in the minority, but we're not planning on doing a 2nd birthday party. We'll celebrate just the 4 of us on her birthday and then celebrate with family on vacation a couple weeks later.

I decided after DD1's 2nd birthday party that I don't want to do parties every year. So, starting at age 3-4, we'll have the girls pick a friend or two to do something special (zoo, movies, sleepover, pedicure when they're older, etc.), and just do a real party every few years.

I'm thinking about it because I'm planning in terms of budget. I don't want to wait until the last minute, I wont be making all the food and I won't be making the cakes. Nope.

If she stays in love with Bubble Guppies then that will be the theme.

I've only thought about it because we rented a beach house not far from home for the week following his birthday and plan to have his party there. So we're going to do a beach or a pirate theme.

I'm pretty sure we will have a coin toss over Bubble Guppies now...She seems to have sort of migrated to Elmo.

We decided Lego theme. It's was a toss up between Thomas and Legos. LK loves his duplos, plus my younger brother has a crap load of lego mock ups (as in super facncy, pirate ships/space ships/etc), not to mention the decor is cuuuuuute! I love party planning!!!

We had a huuuuge (as in 145 ppl) first bday luau for Koa (its tradition), but his 2nd bday, probably no more than 40-50 ppl max! To me that's an okay size. We'll have it at our home and pray the hardwood can withstand the traffic! What do you consider a large party?
