infant tubs

I hate our infant tub now because she tries to kick off the side of it and drown herself. but we have a really big bath tub so I can't put her in it, and our sinks deft won't be big enough. My friend swears by a baby bath sling for her 17mo old (she's used it since she was born) so I might try that. This is the one we currently have, I removed the sling because she's too big for it.

Any recommendations that'll last us a while?

I'm having the same issue- DS is too big for his infant tub. I think I took the sling out 2 months ago.

With DD we used an inflatable tub once she was sitting up on her own. We were able to use it until she was about a year old, and then we just put her in the regular tub. DS isn't sitting up on his own yet though, so we're trying to make due with his infant tub for a few more weeks.

My only complaint is storage- it's such a PITA to blow the tub up, so we keep it inflated, but there's really no place the in bathroom to keep it when it's not being used.

Right now we have DS in the Summer's Infant bath seat in our big tub. I put a stool in there so I can sit in there with him without having to lean in. He's quickly outgrowing it and I'm starting to wonder, too!

A friend of mine was telling me at dinner the other night that the only way her DS would bathe as a baby was in some fancy bucket-shaped tub? I think I remember seeing something like she described on Zulilly a few times, so maybe that could work?

We just bought a piece of foam for 6 bucks at target. It's in the baby bath stuff. He loves it!

We have a bath from Target it's blue and looks like a Penguin. It has a divider for until he's bigger so that the water doesn't get too deep. He likes it.

We have used this bath support since our lo was born and it works great because it gives her room to grow and and can be used in the sink or bath tub

We just left the blowup ducky inflated and in the tub.

We just use the sling pictured below with the giant sponge thing on top of it. (All from babies r Us) It's small enough to put in my bathroom cabinet, dries quickly, is cheap and fits in either the sink or bath tub. It's a win win for me! Lol!

I think the bucket you're talking about is the Tummy Tub. A while back there was a thread about it (I think it was while we were all pregnant). @quartermisses uses it if memory serves..

We have the primo too.. It has a side fir newborn and the other side for infant....very easy.

This. We have the boon tub that collapses almost flat and we use the insert shown above.

Yes. We have used the tummy tub with both girls. It is nothing short of amazing.

Ok I just googled that and I feel clostrophobic lol!

I have actually been using her play seat - the summer infant superseat. Its all plastic and foam, so it dries fine. It lets her sit up- which she prefers to laying down. I didn't see the need for another limited use thing to try to find space for! I can also stick her in it in the tub with me while I take a shower that way I can keep an eye on her and we both get clean.

Sorry I've been gone all day but the other posters posted pics! He splashes all around and it actually keeps him in place for his whole bath. We just ring it out after every bath and hang it on the side of the tub. It's super easy! One of the best $6 we've spent.

First baths for DD and DS in the Tummy Tub. I love it and so do they! I used it with DD until she was sitting well on her own and will do the same with Beau.

I also used it for DD when she was about 14 months old and painfully constipated. The warm water and positioning helped her poo within 5 minutes. Much easier to clean than a larger tub, too

We use the FP Animal Crackers one. He loves it and the sling still works great for us. He loves to try and submerge his whole body and sneak slurps of the water or washcloth. We also shower, sometimes, with him and have also did a family bath. He is like his mama...a total fish!
