Wow, can't even imagine. With how much my peanut is movin' and groovin' we joke about another one hiding in there. But seriously how wild if there were another one, let alone four of them! Wow!
So I guess when someone asks me "are you sure there is only 1 in there?", I should reply "who knows, I guess we'll find out when I give birth!!". You know, just to play it safe! That's nuts though, I can't even imagine!
My husband is a twin and his mom didn't know she was having twins until the day she gave birth. The doctor only ever heard one heartbeat and she never had an ultrasound. Granted this was a rural town in the 1970's...but still was quite a surprise!
It's so crazy especially because it seems she had prenatal care - especially considering her age and that it's triplets. I guess they were so crammed in there you couldn't see #4! And identical! Let the confusion begin.
Wow! Something similar actually happened in my family (although not so dramatic) My grandmother was pregnant with twins and when she delivered, surprise! Baby number 3 (my father) came out as well. Of course, this was in the 50s, so I don't think my grandma had any ultrasounds. My dad was "baby c" for a couple days because my grandprents didn't have a third name ready!
I didn't need to read this. I'm still not 100% convinced there is only one in there for me despite several ultrasounds to that effect. What a shock that would be at an already very stressful time!
My MIL is the oldest of 7 (5 brothers, 1 sister). One of the brothers was a twin and wasn't discovered until about a week before she gave birth because he was smaller and hid behind the other brother. Craziness!
I can't imagine 4 babies at once...
In memory of the angel babies that were too perfect for Earth.
WHOA. First, minor panic. But my baby is so active and runs around all the time that I'm pretty sure there can't be another baby hiding behind it. My U/S tech can hardly capture the baby in one spot when needed!
