I need music ideas

What non kid music do your toddlers, or older kids, groove to? Z is a dancing fiend, so we're loosely having a dance party for her 2nd birthday, but the kid will listen to the same song for a month, so she's not great for putting a playlist together. For the sanity of adults, I want to avoid too many toddler tunes, and, for toddler reasons, no obscenities. The last bit is too bad, because Z loves her some Thrift Shop.

Zoe loves 1D so, so much. Before "Safe and Sound" we were listening to their cover of "One Way or Another" for like a month and a half on repeat.

Caspar Babypants did an album covering Beatles songs that's fun. We let Owen listen to pretty much anything we listen to... he seems to like Cake a lot, and we like Walk Off the Earth supermuch.

I let my kids listen to too much inappropriate music. I definitely couldn't play all of my youngest's favorite songs at a party. Oops.

Anytime I've needed cleaner songs, I've borrowed from our library's Radio Disney album collection. DD used to like Move It. The songs are older though.

I try not to get too uptight about what my kids listen to since I knew all the words to "Like a Virgin" by the time I was 5. You could always do Kidz Bop. They clean up top 40 hits.

DD's current favorite non-princess song is "Girl on Fire" by Alicia Keys. We listen to it on repeat & I have the most adorable video of her dancing to it!

Well, as I've posted before, DS is obsessed with Miley and sings/watches the videos for Wrecking Ball and We Can't Stop constantly. Probably not appropriate for your party.

He also likes 1D, the Frozen song, and Hakuna Matata.
