Am I the only one with a full glass tonight? A Trader Joes $2.99 red with a wine glass koozie (aka the woozie). Klassy!
I spent the evening watching my girlfriends 3-year-old while she went on a date with her DH. Holy crap, either my kids are really easy going or I'm in for a really rude awakening once the boys turn 3.
What is everyone up to tonight? Did you have a good Valentines day?

I had some wine with dinner. DH made a spectacular valentine meal for us tonight...damn that man can cook!

I just spent the last hour cracking up at gifs on the daddy newbie blog.

I had about half a glass of some kind of crappy red wine but I never finished cause I got distracted doing bath and bedtime for LO. He's sick again. Ugh.
And 3 is a really tough age. I'm not sure why they call it terrible twos cause the twos have NOTHING on the threes. Give you something to look forward to?!

@LokiLahve- See, you said Daddy Newbie and I immediately went over that and it sucked up what, like 10 minutes in what felt like a 30-second timespan? And I could keep going on so easily- cracks me up!

Bahaha! I feel the same way. I have to really spend an entire day trying to get myself worked up to do it so I actually enjoy it. I remember the 6-month postpartum mark being the time with DS1 where my drive started returning to normal (existent) so hopefully I get it back soon.

And @dani_brewer, I hope tomorrow goes better for you guys! :-( I would go run a bubble bath while they're conked out!

Ugh, yeah that's what I was afraid of- I keep hearing 3 is a bad age. I may have to up my wine-stash for those years.

And @Bunnyfer, how do you like to drink that? Just sip it straight or mix it in with something? Because it always sounds so amazing, but when I order chocolate/alcohol anything it always has kind of an unsettling curdled-milk feeling in my tummy.

I have sipped it warm...tastes great. Added it to ice...amazing. very smooth, goes down easy. I also have added a small bit to coffee, and once topped ice cream with it.

I made chicken tacos. I'm trying to get DD down and then I think I will have some sailor jerry. DH asked me today " when are you thinking of hitting the gym?" Umm I haven't gone to the gym in like 8 months buddy wtf are you referring to. So of course now I feel fat.

In his defense I think he was just speaking logistics because I keep saying I need to work out. But I think with my drink I will have a whole sleeve of thin mints.

Hard night for us ahead. I'm getting over being sick and thought we were lucky enough to have it miss LO... But no he is sick now and is having trouble sleeping and only sleeps for maybe 10 min if he's not on or laying next to me. And he hasn't let dh put him to sleep for the past week, including motn wake ups, and DH is more than willing and has been the first out of bed but inevitably I have to go in to get Jim back to sleep and not even always because he's hungry.

ANYWAY.... Valentines was good, went to the fair and my parents watched LO while me and dh went and saw Winter's Tale. A very fun, successful day. Hopefully we all are better in a few days. We got season passes for the fair so it'd be a huge waste if we only got to go once because we're all sick

I have some vodka and cranberry juice. I'm debating drinking it though. There's way to much sugar in it and I've been getting headaches from the juice (even when watered down).. So maybe some vodka waters with line juice. I've had two beers though. At the moment me and H are trying to watch World war Z.. LO keeps waking up though. I think she has a bad case of gas again ahh!!

@Marvel1013 -Vodka soda water with a lime? That was my go-to for a looong time. Or a dirty martini? Yummm ((goes to eat the olives straight out of the fridge)).

Had a nice cold glass of vodka soda with lime juice over here. So tasty! Its been a while since I just had a plain old vodka soda. I've been doing more wine recently- or vodka in hansons mandarin lime (which is really good) We finished off our valentines crab legs from yesterday- which were amazeballs. They made an amazing dinner last night and tonight. Tonight- cherry pie is still to come. We'll see how long LO sleeps- she's down now but shes usually back up by 10:30. If she stays asleep, maybe I'll have another \:D/

Poor LO is on day 5 of constipation. Nothing is helping and everything shes passing is so hard. I know she's so uncomfortable and straining so hard. I feel so bad.

At this point, I don't care if she has a massive blowout in the MOTN that requires a bath. Just poop (normal!) little girl!!!

I am hoping LO goes back to bed, she's fighting it.... Hard. DH attempted to get up with her only to come in and ask me how to use the nose Frida (even though he has done it several times before). So I took over the feeding since he woke me up, and now he is snoring while I am waiting for LO to call out for me again.

Stomach bug over here... ginger ale and ice chips is the closest I'm getting to anything going into my stomach.

@aprilraine, 3 has definitely been the most challenging thus far. Everything turned into a battle and things she used to be able to do solo she suddenly couldn't do anymore. Getting ready for bed was the worst.

Oh and about the 3 year old. It's a tough one. DS is 4 in October and it's definitely been a struggle with him. He's definitely still fun though. I find that since he's talking way more now, he will copy EVERYTHING.. Attitude, words.. You name it. He's such a polite little boy but he still has tantrums. Going to bed is hard for him but once he's asleep he's fine. He will wake and go pee by himself and go back. Hoping 4 us fabulous
