Good Morning  Afternoon All!
Happy Friday, we made it through another week! Hope everyone is doing well, and has a great weekend!

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, What is your favorite romance movie?

Do you buy anything special for your child(ren) during Valentines? Is there a tradition?

Plans for the weekend?

Re: `*`*` GTKY& YK(s) Friday `*`*`

  • I am a sucker for for Pretty In Pink, and for some reason Sliding Doors.   I used to watch those both every time a relationship ended.  To give me hope I suppose.

He used to get Reese's heart from me, along with a trinket.  This year I got him some glow sticks and a potted plant.  Because well that is what he wanted.  He is trying to stay away from candy.  When they get older it is easier just to have them pick it out sometimes.

The in-laws are here tonight so we will probably have dinner with them.  No real plans tomorrow, but will probably do something with them.  On Sunday I am having tea with my grandma, with a certificate that I won in a silent auction.

  • Pride and Prejudice (the Keira knightly one, not the BBC mini - series with Colin Firth)

And of course Romeo and Juliet (with Leonardo Dicaprio and Claire Danes) fast fact about me: I love shakespeare.

Nothing special for my little guy but, I've been sharing the chocolates DH got me with him :)

No major plans, dinner with the in- laws Sunday.

  • I love Gone with the Wind and will probably convince DH to watch Moulin Rouge tonight. DD wanted a large stuffed Unicorn, but I didn't want to buy it in front of her and of course when I went back to get it...it was gone. So I bought her Ariel Squinkies. Don't really have a Valentine's tradition. No big plans for the weekend. A nice quiet weekend at home. Last weekend we were visiting friends out of town and next weekend is DD birthday.

Hmmmm....I guess I would have to go with the Holiday. Oh and I do like When Harry Met Sally.

Do you buy anything special for your child(ren) during Valentines? Is there a tradition?

No traditions. I am actually trying to not start a tradition for this holiday. I'm not big on celebrating it so I don't want her to think that she should.

  • Is Crazy Stupid Love considered a romance movie? I don't care, I like it! They each got a craft necklace thing, Valentine's socks, and nail stickers. Less than $10. MH is working this weekend, so it'll be low key. I think it's supposed to be 20*, which I consider a heat wave at this point, so hopefully some sledding :)

  • I am watching Sleepless in Seattle right now on T.V., that is one of my fav's.  I also like You've Got Mail (love Tom Hanks).

I got DD a card and a little teddy bear.  That's it.  No real traditions but I love giving at least a little card for holidays, big or little.

DH and I went out to dinner tonight.  I was off work.  Since the babysitter didn't have to watch DD today, she offered to watch her tonight so we could have an quiet, uninterrupted dinner with adult conversation! It was awesome! Just relaxing now. No plans for the rest of the weekend.

    Love Actually

Do you buy anything special for your child(ren) during Valentines? Is there a tradition?
Nope! I figure he gets enough from everyone else. We did crafts and made hearts together. He's just learning how to use scissors, and doing a great job so we literally have cut maybe 50 hearts out.

    Plans for the weekend?
Gymnastics yesterday for the little guy and then we didn't do much in the afternoon. Today church and then family swim time at our gym later on. Otherwise I need to finalize hotel bookings for our March break trip!
    Me: 32, DH: 33
    DS #1: April 2010
DS #2: July 2015 (preemie born at 31 weeks) - our little miracle conceived through ART - unexplained secondary infertility/adenomyosis
