Two questions for you...

Two questions for you...

Does your lo go to sleep on bm/formula at night ? If not, how do you avoid that ?

We are in the process of sleep training. Lo wakes around 1 or 2 for milk. He has been waking again around 5 and I'm not sure what to do then. His wake up time is 6 am. He goes to bed between 6:30-7 pm. At 5 am and so close to waking up, it's hard to get up and soothe him and put him back down. I feel like by the time I do this it's 6 am anyway. Any advice?

  • N goes to sleep awake most of the time. When she wakes up earlier than her "wake up" time (we try to say 11 hrs of sleep) then I'll let her fuss for 20 min or so. Often she goes back to sleep but if she doesn't then ill go get her.

  • I feed LO a bottle before bed around 6:30. She will usually sleep until 5-6. I wouldn't try to force LO back to sleep at 5. If she wakes in the MOTN, I use the Feber method. If I were you, I would try to drop the MOTN feed. I also wouldn't worry about training LO to wake up at a super specific time. That seems crazy to me. That could also just be my opinion.
  • N will sometimes wake up and move around early in the morning. I just let her. Usually she falls back asleep if I leave her. I only go to get when she starts crying and even then I wait a minute to make sure it isn't a dream cry.
