Not pregnant I'm an A cup, and now I look like freaking Dolly Parton. My milk came in yesterday and I'm engorged to the max. Rock hard. I keep laughing when I walk past mirrors. (and then crying when I have to touch them.)
@Laura8388 - we are both doing well. I got discharged yesterday and it was rough. It's so hard to leave him an hour away in the NNICU. Plus I think baby blues are setting in, so I'm feeling a little sobby. Good thing I have these boobs to laugh at.
They removed his central line yesterday which got us very excited! Now they are working on weaning him from his IV. They are also watching his platelets so the poor boys heels are just black from heel pricks. But really the only thing we are still working on is eating by mouth. He isn't taking much of anything at all. The nurse can get about 6 ccs in him, but the rest comes by tube. Hopefully it won't be long, but we really have no indicator of time. It just depends on when he decides to wake up.
Not going to lie, i thought this was @FarmBoysWife with her mucus plug.
@babylimas i'm glad he's doing well! I hope he starts eating away at those gigantic boobies of yours =] thanks for the update i was thinking of you earlier!
I have also really wanted to post pictures of my belly for you guys. I remember one of the early moms on my old board doing it and it was so helpful seeing how it looks rough afterwards. The realism of it. I don't think mine would be the right one to post though. Either way, I still have a big ol' belly, it's just now really soft and sags in weird spots.
Oh and I seriously have been trying to get a picture of the melons but it all just looks like I'm trying to be sexy. Haha. They go up really high and so it looks like I'm wearing a dramatic push up. When really they are just swollen all the way up almost to my collar bone.
Boobs!! Sorry they're so sensitive right now...I hope you get some relief soon!
I'm not looking forward to that part...I already have large boobs, so I imagine I'm going to be a freak when my milk comes in.
For the belly part, I'm planning to wear my belly band after just to hold me in a little. I have a little fat there anyways so to not jiggle so much I'm hoping that will help. Lol.
If you post a pic, our comments may give you something to laugh at to distract from the baby blues! sorry your little man isn't home with you yet. Thinking of you guys!!
I wouldn't mind seeing some boobs. I'm curious what mine will do. I'm only a B cup. Hopefully your little man will be out of there soon to take advantage of the Dolly Parton boobs!

I may be straight but I appreciate a nice rack when I see one. That being said, I love my "porn star boobs." Big, full, bra busting titties that make my husband rock hard and my baby drool. Lmao
I have a picture of myself the day my milk came in with my 1st. It looks so weird and fake, especially how high up they are! Oh, and I was wearing light green that really brought out the pretty color of my chest veins!
So glad to here both of you are doing well. Combat those blues with lots of baby time and "me time" and keep yourself busy:)
I hope he starts eating better ASAP! Are they trying different types of bottles?
@babycaps - the problem is he is won't wake up to drink. He's very very sleepy still. Every couple feedings we can rouse him to take a little bit. He took 6 ccs at his 5 pm feeding but needs to take 40 ccs total. I told them I didn't even want to try BFing anymore bc he falls asleep harder when I hold him. I would rather he drink and then we can work on BFing when I get him home. He also is going to have a consult with an OT on Monday bc the nurse thinks he's not swallowing well when he does drink. I know they switched him to slow flow nipples for it last night but that means he has to stay awake even longer to drink.
@yankeepeach08 - I'm a CS unicorn. Recovery seems to be easy. The NNICU was on the other side of the hospital so I had to walk a long way a lot. I am keeping up with my meds though just in case! But yes the gas was much worse this time than my last. I didn't remember that part. My stomach looked like a balloon yesterday.
@babycaps - yes I have heard a lot about the strength and the delayed swallowing reflex. I'm actually very proud of him already because he waves his arms around and grabs things (including his feeding tube). I have been told that's really good to see in terms of muscle tone.
I also just got a call that he was transferred out of the level III and into the PCICU. He doesn't need the cardiac care but all of the nurseries are overfilled from the ice storm. And he is stable enough to leave. It's way nicer so I'm kind of excited, but I wonder how his treatment will change since his issues are more preemie/DS related and not about the heart.
I remember when my milk came in last time, my first thought was "holy shit, I look like a porn star!" and "now I know what Pamela Anderson feels like". They eventually go down, but that first day I couldn't stop checking myself out in the mirror (and isn't it hilarious when baby is nursing on one side/you are pumping and milk starts spraying out the other side?).

Glad he is doing well. Hope his eating progresses soon. Sorry you have to be so far away from him. Thinking of you.

My boobs didn't get any bigger this pregnancy (kind of disappointed lol), but I'm not looking forward to engorgement.

Glad William is doing so well and hope he gets to go home soon!!
So sorry you had to leave your little man so far away:(
How are you healing from the CS??? No one ever told me about the gas afterwards!!!!
Speaking of boobs, my boobs are big before and during pregnancy but now that my belly is smaller you actually see their size...me likeeeee
So glad to hear that he is making progress! Fingers crossed he can start eating more without the tube very soon!!
