moment of panic at hair salon today, in GIFS

i have medium/darkish brown hair and wanted some lighter sorta caramel color highlights.  I have had this before and it always worked well, but i went to a diff. salon today. bad move!

when she pulled out the foils and it looked like this:

 I was like wtf is going on here, this doesn't look like the picture i showed you!!

she said sincerely, you don't want it so YELLOW?   i lol'd and said

so,she put some toner on that shiz and while it looks better,  i still feel like a Nelson brother

    Hair f*#! ups are the worst.  I once decided to go from caramel brown to super blonde with a box.  I should have known better.  I did it, rinsed it, and looked like carrot top! Well the hair, not the face.
