Just curious for other solid food babies, how much does your LO eat in a day? My son is 7.5 months old, has 1 four ounce jar in the morning, 1.5-2 four ounce jars at lunch, and dinner. So he is usually eating about 4-5 four ounce jars per day. He will also take a 5-6 ounce bottle anywhere from 45 mins to an 1-1.5 hours after the solid food. He is 75% for his weight and 95% for his height. Long and lean per his Pedi but I feel like he is eating a lot of solids.
Re: Amount of solids your baby eats
Our pedi said that eating a jar 3x a day would be normal and we should work our way to that between now (6 months) and 9 months old.
Like PP said, if he's still getting the right amount of milk then I wouldn't worry. Pedi said between 24-32oz a day of milk plus solids was normal in her book.
For breakfast this morning he had a scrambled egg, 1/2 a sausage patty, and 1/2 a peach. He ended up getting a piece of rye bread with cream cheese also because the peach was a little too firm for him. He ate most of the egg and all of the cream cheese sandwich and about 1/2 the sausage.
For lunch he gnawed on 1/2 apple then ate a cheese stick, a slice of beef baloney, and 1/2 a banana.
Dinner he had a few black berries, Mac & Cheese, broccoli, steak (he didn't eat the steak), and 1/2 banana. I also gave him some prunes with cereal mixed in.
He also had about 16-20oz formula today.
The eat two meals a day of 2-3oz each. They also get at least one finger food per day as well, BLW style. I'll prob start a third meal soon.
