Weaning night o2, overnight pox study

We r in the process of weaning our ex 24 weeker off oxygen she's off during the day and has 1/4L at night (if we can keep the cannula on her,it's a battle) and last night our dme company dropped off a over night pox and we trialed her on room air, to my knowledge she hasn't gone below 89 --I wasn't up all night but I didn't sleep as well so I kept looking, she's usually btwn 90-93 in a deep sleep and heart rate 85-90s. We get results I think next week. But how low is too low for room air sleeping? For an adult usually 88 % is on the lower end but unsure for a infant. She's 8 1/2 months adjusted age and 12 months actual. I just feel so bad holding her down to tape the oxygen on and she screams and pulls it off. But I don't wana get it discontinued if she needs it. Anyone have similar experiences?

    We just got off o2 about a month ago and our pedi didn't want any sats going below 92, whether asleep or awake for an extended period of time (more than 30 sec consistently).

    Not sure if it's the same thing you're asking about, but that's what our experience was. Good luck!!

    When our daughter was on oxygen, her pulmonologist said that we could take the canulas off if she was above 92.

    Our pulmonologist wants him above 93% for sleeping. He just went off oxygen and we just spot check him but I think the "average" range for sleeping was 93-95% for our office.





    I'm not new. I just hate The Bump.

    DS had to be above 85 while sleeping.  Normal for him on room air (during the day) is 92-95.  DS has been off O2 for about 4 months now
