Holy SHIT. (pun intended)

I feel so fucking bad for my DS. Between all of us having the fucking awful stomach bug 2 weeks ago, and this seemingly non stop runny nose/cold both him and I have been dealing with, the past 3 weeks have felt like hell. The sickness and lysoling and scrubbing...I'm over it!

Aaaaaand...now he's starting up with diarrhea again it looks like. Hes had about 5 BMs today, getting increasingly runnier and smellier. And horrible diaper rash. Wtf is going on???

Ever since he started PT daycare last month...its been nonstop sickness! Someone please tell me it gets better!

  • I'm sorry about your DS. We are also in the midst of a stomach flu after recovering from roseola. It sucks.

  • @loveactually4 does roseola always involve high fever?

I may be grasping at straws here, but for the past few days DS has had this weird rash on random parts of his body (elbows/backs of arms, small amount on his back, lower legs, and a few spots on his tummy) that almost looks like a cross betweeb little pimples and eczema. Its very mild though and it seems to come and go...just the last 2 days or so. But he has no fever. He had the stomach bug 2 weeks ago, which involved lots of explosive diarrhea, But has since had normals BMs.

Idk...maybe hes coming down with aanother virus and just has a mild viral rash? I have no GD clue. Poor kid. I feel awful for him.

  • Until today, of course. It seems the diarrhea is coming back.

  • When we had roseola she had a fever for 3-4 days and then the fever broke. Next morning there was a rash on her stomach, back, legs, and face.

Yeah, and he doesnt have a fever. He only had a fever 2 weeks ago when he came down with the stomach bug, but even then it was only like 100-101 ish and it was only for 1 night.

  • Poor guy.  Daycare is so hard at first.  But it does get better.  My oldest almost never gets sick now.  Even when her brother does.

Do they feed him there? Could he be eating something different? Sorry he is sick.

  • They do, and they know he's still sensitive to dairy (but we are introducing slowly per the pedi). I see his daily sheet they send home and it seems like he's eating the same type of stuff he gets at home.

  • Hmm well I hope it is just a fluke then

  • Yeah @MrsT0514 it was a scary high fever of 104-105 for 3-4 days. As soon as it broke he was covered in a rash.

I hope your DS feels better soon.

Oh man...that sounds so scary. Poor guy! Thanks...I hope today was just a fluke and he feels better tomorrow.

  • It gets better. DS1 was sick almost constantly from the start of daycare to 15 months old. We had the actual flu (even after flu shots) and the stomach bug as well as strep, hfm, and a plethora of colds.
