Until last night, I had never actually bought a bottle of wine just to have at my house.
I really know nothing about wine.
I do know that it tastes good, whether sweet or dry, but have no preference. So I was forced to ask the lady at the register.
I ended up with a bottle of pinot noir. Its pretty good.
Anyway, what's your favorite wine? Any super good brands?
I'm clueless.

I am passionate about 3 things:
1. My Family
2. Good Friends
3. WINE. I live for WINE.
What do you want to know? Whites? Reds? Food to pair? Sushi pairs awesome with a Reisling (Dr. Loosen is my fave), Steak with a good Malbec or Cab Sav....Just want a good glass after work? I need details here.
There is nothing better than popping the cork off a nice bottle of red wine....besides a good box of wine. This sounds a little trashy but Bota Box and Black Box are cheap and packed full of goodness. I prefer the Bota Box Cab Sav for red and the Bota Box pinot grigio. The boxes keep the wine fresh and it lasts longer. If you are going to impress, stick with the bottles.

This is awesome. Thank you ladies so much!!! I just want to go buy so many! (just to taste of course).
That said, I'm a Chardonnay girl myself. I do not like sweet wine. And I can't drink red because of my migraines. Oaky buttery Chardonnay... Bogle is good.
I admit to being a cheap wine girl myself. I like trying out bottles with interesting labels. I enjoy sweet reds, moscatos, Cabernet, and Merlot, depending on my mood. Some of my favorites are Barefoot, Mad Housewife, and Red Guitar sangria.
I'm trying to get more into reds but sometimes I get such terrible headaches after only half a glass. One that I've tried that's a more mellow red is Ravenswood red zinfandel. It was still pretty bold for me but it was good and I think it's a good introduction to reds.
I love this thread
I'm sorry. I just can't comprehend what you just said.
Ok, now that the inital shock has worn off, let me see if I can help you.
If you liked Pinot Noir, that means you likely have a taste for drier wines. That being said, Pinot Noir is one of my favorites as well but I like all wines. ALL THE WINES!!!
Red -- Pinor Noir is my go-to, but I can also drink Cabernet Savignon.
White -- I don't like overly sweet wines, so I tend to stick with Pinot Grigio. It's sweeter than a Chardonnay but not as sweet as a Resisling or Moscato.
Some of my absolute favorites are by regional wineries (Traverse City, MI area) and are season. Witches Brew by Leelanau Cellers is my favorite fall wine (it's a red wine with a spiced flavor) and I also love Great Lakes Red by the same place. It tastes like Welches Grape Juice!
