Loose Poop

My 3-week-old has had loose poops for a week or so now.  Like, liquidy.  However, she doesn't seem to be in any discomfort.  She only goes once or twice a day and it's usually a lot.  The doc said it's nothing to worry about, as long as there's no blood or other signs of illness.  She is primarily BF, with formula here and there.  Not sure what to do, if anything.  Is this normal?

Re: Loose Poop

  • Haha, I ask myself the same question.  Basically, my real concern is that she takes so long between poops and then has a little poop-splosion, which sort of pools in her diaper.

  • Once or twice a day is actually a lot for a breast fed baby.  Some only go once a week.  Listen to the doctor.
