Right now I am making purees for J. We started solids right before 7 months. He eats between 2-5 ounces (approx) a day in two sittings. Sometimes less but never more.

This for us too, with occasional finger foods in there. Especially, puffs - little man loooooves the puffs.
P ate 9 oz the other day. I think it may be a growth spurt (?) because he's nursing like normal as well. Usually he'll eat Round 4-6 oz a day in two or three sittings. We do mainly purees.
Two meals a day. We make our own baby food purees. He gets either a few tablespoons of oatmeal or yogurt with each meal, and two cubes (ounce each) of a puree. We will do three meals starting in 2 or 3 weeks.
3 meals a day. Each meal is about 4.5 oz but I don't really know because we do a lot of finger foods. Some purees I made, some I bought. Depended on the price of produce.
My chunker will down a 3.5-4 oz puree usually twice a day. We are doing more and more finger foods and he will eat that and some puree. I make a lot but also have store bought pouches for when I get behind on the cooking.
LO eats three meals a day for a total of 12 ounces a day. We buy purees. I'm kind of amazed that she's eating so much compared to other babies her age--she is right at 50% for weight and height! She also went from not handling solid food well at all to wanting three meals of day in like a week. Foodie in the making!
Married to my best friend 6/5/10
BFP #1 9/7/10, EDD 5/14/11, Violet born 5/27/11.
BFP #2 4/9/12, EDD 12/16/12, M/C Rory 4/24/12.
BFP #3 10/6/12, EDD 6/16/12., Matilda born 6/17/13.
I make LOs purees, and he eats 1.5 ounces 2-3 times a day. He was only eating twice a day until last week and then I felt pressured by DC to bring in food for him. She kept telling me that all her other babies at 8 months were eating 7-12 jars of baby food each day, I guess I felt guilty and caved and brought in the green beans.
We do a mix of homemade purees and the occasional finger foods. I generally offer solids (purees) twice a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon/evening. She eats about 4-6 oz of purees a day. I give her soft finger foods like avocado, sweet potato, cheerios, and bits of whatever we're eating in between. She's a snacker and loves her BM so she still nurses every couple of hours, but I don't know how many oz she gets.
LO eats about 8-10 ounces of food a day, as well as 25-28 ounces of formula. The food is split across three meals. When I try to skip dinner with her she cries, even if she had a bottle directly before.
Some of the food I buy and some I make.
She is about 30th percentile for weight so I guess she is trying to catch up? She is getting a tiny potbelly. It's cute.
Hijacking this one too. Sorry, what time of day are those of you who are doing 3 meals a day doing each of the three? I'm contemplating adding a third, but I'm trying to figure out when it should take place? Should number one be her first feeding of the day? I'm a working mom and trying to figure out how to add another meal to our current routine. Right now her second feeding is solids and her second to last is solids. The sitter or the IL's (both watch her) give her the first round of solids each day. Do I pack up a second one for them to do during the day?

Thanks to anyone who replies.
Daycare feeds her breakfast at about 815am. They give her lunch around 1130 or noon. We give her dinner around 645pm when we eat. Does that help?
We only do 1 meal a day, usually 1-2 oz. But DD is an early July baby (8 days late) and on the small side.
I mash or purée all of her food. The only store bought things she has had are oatmeal, applesauce, and yogurt.

@beaslejl we do solids 3 x a day. BM followed by cereal mixed with fruit. After his first nap it's just milk. After 2nd nap or noon whichever comes first, a purée and then at 5:00 another purée. Next is is bath, BM and bed.
@GalLaura I call finger foods anything that she can use her own fingers to eat. Raspberry's have been fun, some of the puffs, Mum Mums, anything that she's feeding herself is what I deem finger food. It helps with fine motor and learning to eat on her own. I'm trying to prep her for holding the spoon on her own by exposing her to finger foods and working on those skills. I don't offer a whole lot she still is more formula, puree, cereal than say the finger foods.... She for the first time picked up and made it successfully to her mouth and I was pretty excited. Once she did that she's on a roll now.
@beasleji. Can you believe they don't have puffs in Australia?! The only mum mums that I could find were for 12 months and up. I can't find the equivalent to these things here.
Grace was eating 6-8oz of purees twice a day, but now, she's been pretty much refusing to eat them. She only wants real food. She doesn't have that pincer grasp yet, so she's not very successful at it. She tries hard. She's very very tiny, so its important she gets proteins. I'm struggling to get her to eat solids while letting her feed herself. She's so independent.
Marigold Celestial Nostrils to save the day with glitter and unicorn farts!
I offer food twice a day. Sometimes he eats it, other times he doesn't. I make his food, but if we are going on a trip i usually buy those pouches. I'd like to get some pouches so i can reuse them though.
He really loves mum mums, puffs, and those little veggie things. ( they remind me of a puffy cheeto...don't know what they are called)
Anyway, if i don't feed him the puree i made, i usually give him some cheese, a banana, or pear. Sometimes he'll take a bite of what I'm having.

2 - 3 x day. Its not consistent. She's not a big eater. Often she doesn't want more than a few spoonfuls of puree at dinner. I try to feed her a fruit and veggie each day. She is not interested in eating puffs or Mum Mums but I keep giving them to her.

We do breakfast lunch dinner. I used to try and do solids before daycare but now I just send two 'meals' with him and my mornings are way better.
2 to 3 oz. he eats three times a day most days. He eats purees. We have tried a few "real" foods like banana pieces or an orange slice. If he gets even the tiniest piece off of it and in his mouth, he gags and throws up. So, not ready for those yet. He will however chow down in a cracker and that somehow doesn't seem to bother his gag reflex at all.

We go with the flow.
I think you said your LO had quite a few teeth. You could probably try plain Cheerios instead of puffs and see how she does.
