Grabbing My Mouth While Nursing

Anybody else's LO do this? It's annoying the shit out of me lately. Mostly because I need to trim her nails so I have cuts and she keeps getting my gums.

DD does this all the time. I think it is the cutest. I agree it does hurt when her nails are longer. I pretend to eat her fingers and it makes her laugh.

I've started to remove Bs hand, say gentle touch and then demonstrate a gentle touch. I don't think it's really taking yet, but it makes me feel better that Im actively doing something about his assaults, lol.

That's a good idea for daytime. Nighttime nursing there's no way she gets a toy to party with.

I have lots of scratches too! One time I thought I would outsmart baby C and give him a toy while he was nursing. Instead he began hitting me in the face with the toy....ugh.

L gets the lovey every time we nurse. She strokes it and fiddles with the tag and it keeps her from clawing all over me. It also works for night time, since she sleeps with it. It is very calming for her.

This. Everytime. If I keep my mouth closed, he just tries harder to wiggle his fingers in my mouth and hook my lower teeth. I refuse to give him a toy because I'll definitely end up with a blood lip.

I normally wear a tank top when I am home, and Nadia usually plays with the strap while nursing. But she does slap and scratch the crap out of my husbands and mine faces all the time. I seem to always have some kind of mark on my face these days from her.

All the time since he was about 3 months old. Sometimes he grabs my nose and just holds on which is much nicer than my mouth except that it usually leads to him closing off my nostrils which makes me open my mouth to breath and increases the likelihood of him sticking his hand in my mouth.

I don't nurse but she does this at night and it's about to drive me insane!! It shouldn't bother me so much but sometimes she grabs nips (yes, even with a shirt on) and they're in that freshly-sanded-with-80-grit-sandpaper stage of pregnancy. Ouch!!

These tiny people are relentless, too. You pretty much just have to hold their hands down.

This. Although what I DO NOT enjoy is when he grabs that tendon that runs from my chin to my collar bone. He grabs hold of it all the time and feels like he's going to rip my jugular out. Grr.

Sully likes to have his hands near his mouth while he nurses and gets upset if I try to move them. This results in nails digging into my nipples. He also likes to put one hand on my boob and push away while he nurses which just looks like he's trying to maximize the nipple stretch... :-?
