So I think that today has completed our BF relationship

We have been nursing morning and night and then she gets half breast milk and half whole milk during the day (until I complete my freezer stash!). So this morning I tried to nurse her like usual before work and she just flat out refused, squirming all over the place and wanted to get down and play. So, I was disappointed but she is growing up (tear!). Then I attempted again a few minutes ago before putting her down for bed and she bit me! Once we did a brief time out from access, I attempted to get her to latch again and she just had no interest

I know that we were winding down, but it is very sad that it is just over. I am happy that it has been easy/tear free (well except for my tears) but it is so hard to know that this phase is over. I really didn't know how much I would truly enjoy BF my daughter, but it has been this wonderful bonding time and just cuddle time. *sigh* Well onto the new exciting things, like how she just discovered she is finally tall enough to climb up onto the couch!

I had a very similar experience! It was very hard at first but looking back I am glad the transition was so easy! I was also very upset about it because it seemed so sudden and really made me feel like she wasn't a baby anymore. Congratulations on making a year!!!

Thanks ladies! I knew many of you would understand. DH is supportive but in his own words "never had that bonding with her so doesn't understand the sense of loss". Onto big girl things now!
