Bleeding ????

Okay. I'm 37 weeks dilated 2 70% effaced baby at +1 station... That being said my husband and I just had sex as I started bleeding... It ha little pieces of what looked like mucus in it... It stopped until I laugh then a little more will come out. Enough to mess up my panties. Should I be concerned?

Why on earth would you ask the internet before asking your doctor?!? I totally get not wanting to be "that" pregnant chick that calls for everything but JFC bleeding isn't just something to be like "oh it's okay...let me get answers from these rando people I've never met before who have no medical degree (or could, actually) and aren't actually the ones helping me deliver".

Some bleeding after sex during pregnancy can be normal, but doesn't happen to everyone.

Excessive bleeding after sex during pregnancy is not normal.

Mucus discharge after sex during pregnancy can be normal, could be mucus, could be semen, could be a mix. But not everyone experiences it.

Blood and mucus after sex during pregnancy at 37 weeks is normal...

But if you're worried, CALL YOUR DOCTOR.

Maybe she doesn't say anything because she doesn't think she has to. Because, shit, if I was bleeding, my OB would the first person I talked to about it. I always felt like this was common sense...until I came to The Bump.

Yup. That's what I assumed. She figures I'm smarter than the average bear and would call/go to hospital if I was worried.
