  Reusable swim diapers do a much better job of holding the pee than the disposable ones, FYI.  A lot of pools require babies to use the reusable ones.

  I honestly think some parents that use them don't even get it. I use cloth swim diapers and they just have like a little mesh net in them (for poop containment!) and I've had a parent more than once say, "oh so the pee just goes in the pool?" like somehow their disposable was preventing that...

  Or at least that's what that questions seems to presume!

  Yeah I didn't know that either! What prevents the pee from going in the pool then? It just holds pee and poop in but doesn't absorb? I'm feeling a bit dumb about this.

  We were standing waiting for swim lessons and my DD peed on my DH.. Hehe. I always made him hold her beforehand and didn't tell him that swim diapers don't hold pee.

  I keep LO in a regular diaper until we get to the pool. The last time we went she peed all over me (right through the swim diaper) as we were about to get in the pool. Confession: I just kept getting in as if that didn't just happen.
