No periods due to 17 years of ballet and distance running after college.  Zero response to 2 months of Clomid, little response to Letrozole.  IUI left with 9 cysts = too many viable eggs due to age.  On to IVF.  Low dose of all meds still produced 37 mature eggs 12.6.11.  Froze due to overstimulation.

FET #1.1 1.22.12 BFN.   FET #1.2 2.22.12=GRACE! (and a vanishing twin).

Grace Katherine born 10.25.12 @ 36w6w 6#14oz 19.5".
FET #1.3 3.2013 BFN FET#1.4 4.2013 BFN. Never tried a fresh transfer.  Let's try, despite 10 still frozen.
ER 6.26.13 27 mature eggs, slight overstim. ET   7.1.13 ectopic, FET 2.1  9.10.14   TRIPLETS!!

Boys born 3.18.14 @ 29w5d.  Andrew Jack 3#6oz 16", Grant Robert 3#9oz 16", Charles Phillip 3#7oz 17".

Re: Period-like cramps 25w

  • Should mention...MFM said checking actual length after 24 wks was not necessary.  At 22 wk appt, it was 3.98 cm.  DD was born 15 mo ago at 36w6w...had started slowly dilating at 31 weeks.

  • How often are you getting them? My rule of thumb is always if you are concerned enough to ask here then you are concerned enough to call your doctor.

This. Always this. Fx it's nothing. Starting at week 22, I was in L&D at least once per week. My OB always reminded me I did the right thing for calling.

  • Anything can change overnight. With triplets especially, id go in.
  • Could easily be BH, but it could be more. Call ASAP & let them know you're concerned. I had mine start just shy of 20 weeks and didn't have them again until the other night (23 weeks). If you've had more than 6 in an hour, they tell you to call.

  • Thanks all! The cramping did do away... combination of being up and lounging on back, propped by pillows. Made appt 4 Monday am and will ask about doing an actual u/s cervical check, even if it's just for peace of mind.
  • I had period type cramping all day on Wed (I'm 26 weeks tmrw with mo/di). I knew I did not drink enough on Tues. I have been drinking about 70-80 oz of water per day since and no more cramps. Just got back from MFM and she said dehydration can cause cramps. But I would call your dr!
  • Period like cramps were the only symptom I had when I had preterm labor. Turned out I had already dialated to a 3 with contractions every 1 to 1 1/2 mins. I would get checked out
