Help me like wine

because I really think I'd be a better person for drinking it from time to time. Help with anxiety, let me relax and let down once in a while...

But, ok you know that taste when you drink a realllllly dry wine? I taste that with every single wine and I just can't get past it.

  • I don't like wine, either.  gross.

I love alcohol, just not wine.

  • Well alrighty then, lol.

I'm not really into beer or alcohol either, I figured my best shot was wine.

Maybe I'll stick with hot chocolate.

  • I wish I liked I wine but, like you, it all tastes terrible to me. I can choke it down in a group so I can hang but I am, in no way, enjoying it. Same for beer except I can't even fake that.

  • Um i like wine!
  • I love fruity wines. Like sangria.
  • I also like sparkling wine.
  • Peppermint schnapps in hot chocolate :)

    I love my winez :)

  • The red blends were the easiest starter wines for me too.

I still don't like tannins but I can't stand sweet either.

  • I love red wine. I guess I got used to the taste after a while.

Do you like fruity drinks? Smirnoff Ice has different fruit flavors and they're really good.

  • I started with white and went to red, then back to white after pregnancy.... I think my taste buds changed? :-/

  • I started with Riesling, graduated to Pinot Grigio and now I'll drink anything.

  • So I was talking with a friend yesterday about wanting to like wine, and she said I had to try this wine she has. It was a red, so I wasn't optimistic, and then it smelled like wine (ok, I mean it smelled like I wouldn't like it) but it actually tasted really good!! It was lambusco (she had the riunite brand). I was reading online, and apparently many wine connoisseurs don't consider it "real" wine, I'm guessing because it is sweet, but whatever.

I'm so excited! DH has off on Wednesday and I plan to get my drink on for the first time in ages.

  • Reisling is the best.
I totally agree.  Reisling is nice and sweet.

  • Oh dear!  I know this post is a few days old but I hope I can help.

If you hate the dry taste-- try Riesling (pron rees-ling).  It's a super sweet, perfumey white wine that I think will change your life.

  • I'll have to try a Riesling. I know a lot of people like moscato because it's sweet, but I've tried several brands and they all have that wine taste that catches you at the back of the throat. That's what I mean when I say that, the taste of dry wine, I can taste in every wine.
