working on a snow day....

Tess and I went for a walk and she fell asleep. I didn't want to disturb her so I got some work done on the front porch. How's everyone else surviving these days? It's tough when daycare is closed but work isn't!

It friggin sucks. I am on a new project where my supervisor is from a different company. She thinks it's totally acceptable to stay up until 2am building a useless deck. She lectured me today about how I need to "be prepared for my semblance of a personal life to be gone" while working for her. I hate her. And I've emailed my bosses from my company.

Time for me to get out of the consulting business. Unfortunately I have to stay for six months due to maternity leave.

  • I was planning on calling off today because ds1 was sick but he brightened up by the time I left for work. I had a crappy day. They called us in for a meeting saying they are restructuring the agency. They don't know how it's going to look right now but they may be moving me to a school 15 minutes farther from my house, which will give me an hour commute in the morning and longer in the afternoon. Plus the birth stone from my necklace fell out and I need to have an iep review because I made a mistake on the iep when I was rushed.

    However...
I fit into my first pair of pp jeans and dh surprised me with flowers :) tgif!
  • Yesterday I got nothing done and today even less. I need to buckle down tomorrow and Sunday or I am going to be in trouble. We are having BIL come help us out over the weekend so I can get some work done on a paper I'm writing. :-/

@stina2012 - that's one of the reasons I quit my job, because I had a boss like that

Yup. If I wanted to work the big consulting firm hours and deal with shit like that, then I'd go make the big consulting firm dollars. I just met her on Monday btw. I do not understand people who live for work. My company is very much into work life balance. I'm lucky, my real boss has a 3 month old and he used to work for this big firm so he gets it.

Wanna hear something mean? Her stomach fat was hanging out of her shirt the other day. I wanted to barf. And I felt better about my post baby stomach fat.

  • I WAH yesterday with LO and DS. DH was home some of the day, but was mostly out shoveling and was also working when he was home.

It was chaos. Right down to DS putting stickers on his valentine's cards and LO eating one.

She sounds like a nightmare, I'm so sorry!
