Bottomless Pit

I told myself I'd eat better this pregnancy, and yet here it is 11 am and I've already devoured my lunch. 

No real point to this post - I can't get enough food right now.  And I'm still hungry.

Second Son - born 2014 - Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV).  First open heart surgery at 5 days old.  He's had 3 open heart surgeries and several other procedures and is currently doing amazing.
Third Son - due June 9, 2018

  • I need to start bringing two lunches to work.  My snack drawer is depleted (usually has granola bars and fruit cups).  I have a feeling I'll be at the vending machine by 2 pm.

  • I haven't even had breakfast yet at 11 am, lol. But that's because I've been distracted from my interview.

  • Omg me too! Especially in the evening! I'm eating healthy food, mostly. But even still, I feel like I'm consuming 5000 calories a day! :-(
  • Last night was crap food night at work for me. When I came in for the shift change the girl before me had a bag of mini donuts, almost empty and she looked me and said "When I was pregnant I couldn't get enough of these... you should finish this for me."  So clearly I did.. then I munched on potato chips because of course I needed something salty after something sweet. A couple hours later I was still hungry but felt guilty so I ate what I can only describe as a "shit ton" of baby carrots out of my stash, and then finished some potato salad off. Last but but least when I made a breakfast styled tater tot casserole for the clients I had to have some of that too... I was completely queasy the entire time I was eating but I couldn't stop myself. I have been SOOO good about eating salads, fruits and veggies only at work but last night I just blew it. Luckily for me I am now on my 5 night weekend so maybe the hungry can be better satisfied at home where there is less crap available.

  • I go through phases it seems. A week ago I couldn't eat enough food. I had eaten breakfast, a snack and lunch all by 10:30 am -- and then was on the hunt for more food.

    This week; however, I am eating like a mouse. Three bites of food and I'm stuffed.

    I'm not sure which I like better.

  • I called DH, who was on a business trip, and sobbed,"I just ate an entire box of wheat thins!" and he said, "We've all been there." Really, who hasn't?

    just eat ladies..... as long as you arent shoving all bad food - we'll be fine. I too am a bottomless pit - it's been double breakfasts for a while now...

  • I am the same way. I feel like I can't stop eating and it's driving me nuts! I gained so much weight when I was pregnant with DS and I am hoping not to gain so much this time but it's not looking good, if this keeps up!
  • I have to eat every two -two and a half hours or things get dicey. HANGRY.
  • We made cookies this afternoon...it made about 5 dozen. Pretty sure I'm going to tell my H it only made 2 dozen when he gets home.
  • I can't stop eating either! I feel fat, bloated, and gross but that doesn't stop me from shoving food in my face all day!
  • Today I didn't eat anything until noon but then I ate two everything bagels with cream cheese... Oh, they were delicious! I put pickle slices and mustard on the second one. So, as long as I don't eat until dinner then it doesn't really count as pigging out- just like I ate a bagel for breakfast and a bagel for lunch--- right? Right.
