Rec your sweet red wines please..

I used to be a fan of Pinot noir and some Merlots. But since I had DS, apparently my taste buds have changed and I havent found a red that I really like.

I'm making a pork roast tonight for dinner and I really want to find a nice red to pair with it...on yhe sweeter side. I dont do the dry/peppery stuff. Anyone got anything????

Cafe Zinfandel is delicious...it's a red Zinfandel that is slightly sweet.

On my way to the store now...I'll pick up a bottle of Zinfandel or red Modesto (I thought moscato was just white!) to try. I know Merlot can be hit or miss. Some are super dry, others are really sweet.

I guess ill grab a bottle of white for back up in case I dont like any of the reds, lol.

Yeah...my local liquor store has excellent wine people.

same here, my abc has one dude who is always there and never fails me (when i'm buying for gifts. because, barefoot). i doubt general managers are as knowledgeable about products than employees are.

Not big on reds normally, but my MIL had a bottle of Red Cat last night and it was pret delicious. Then again, it was the first bit of alcohol I've had in over 9 months, so....

I love Malbecs. I don't think they're really dry at all.

There really aren't any sweet reds. The only "sweet" red I ever had was a local NY wine called Bully Hill and it was more pink in color. Some red wines have a luscious fruit flavor to them though.
