I can't imagine a working mom's life before Etsy. I've found so many kid decorations and gifts that were unique, personalized and just plain awesome. In 15 minutes or less I had unique, adorable valentine's day gifts for all of DD's class and daycare teachers ordered. They were ~$1.50/piece after shipping.
I think back to when I was a kid...my mom did nothing when it came to creative gifts and costumes. She, like I, has zero creativity, but also because she was a single mom just trying to make ends meet. Now, I imagine that my mom wouldn't have had extra income to drop $30 on Valentine's and every other holiday and given where she got me in life I'm just appreciative that she always prioritized us kids over everything else. I'm also grateful that a website like Etsy allows small businesses to sell their stuff and makes it possible for me to find awesome gifts at reasonable if not low prices while supporting small businesses.
It's Valentines Day...and I just felt inspired to "share the love" and promote a website that supports other working moms like us!
Re: Life before Etsy
oohhhh I saw a Breaking Bad cutting board that read "Let's cook"
WANT IT!
When I was in school there were several kids with SAHM who did cute gifts and crafts that the working moms didn't do.
