A More Accurate Movement Poll

Since alot of the replies on the other movement poll were indicating that knowing how far along everyone is would help, here we go (no room for SS, so I've included the "I'm not sure if what I felt was movement or not" ladies in the no movement option, but feel free to SS comment if you wish):

  • I hope it helps calm some of the fears the FTM are having seeing others at the same gestation feeling movement already.  If there had been room I would have loved to have seperate options for FTM and STM+ too but 10 lines is the max for the polls X(

@LiteraChick, sorry I didn't think about that.  I'd say where you are now so it's easier for comparison sake for others, so an "as of now" type poll.  I'll clarify the poll question next time.

  • I was told I have an anterior placenta, so won't feel movement until later than most people. I'm past 20 weeks and haven't felt movement...blocked by the placenta! Just something to consider if you're worried about this.
  • You is smart.
I immediately thought of "you is smaaart, you is kinddd and you is important" from the movie "the help". That poor little girl was adorable.
My husband and I say this to each other ever since we saw that movie :)   That little girl was so cute!

Ok the nerd in me is finding this really interesting (and about what I would have predicted, statistically).

It seems to be almost an even split between the have-felt and have-not-felt mommas at the 18w mark, for those earlier than that (16w, 17w) there are more have-not-felts than have-felts, and then those further along (19w, 20w) are trending the opposite way with the have-felts outnumbering the have-not-felts.

Yar! Me too :) and just cus I am a special snowflake I also have a posterior placenta! I will have to wait until they get really strong, but maybe I won't get my kidneys bruised.

Yeah @michellexm, with my DD I had an anterior placenta and didn't feel movement until almost 24/25w with her.  It is definitely unnerving if you haven't felt movement once you're 20+ weeks, especially if you don't know you have an anterior placenta.

  • With DD I had an anterior placenta and about an extra 15 lbs weight and didn't feel movement until much later, 24 weeks to be exact. Everyone is different for when they feel the baby kick for the first time.
  • Pregnancy with DD (anterior placenta): flutters at 17 weeks, good movement at 20 weeks

  • Im 16+4 weeks and not sure if I feel movements.  My youngest daughter is 12 so this is like my first all over again.  I can't remember with her when I started to feel movement.  I think I feel something occasionally feels like popcorn but can't say for sure.

  • I've been feeling flutters for a little over a week or so and solid kicks this week. I'll be 18 weeks Sunday and it's my first. I haven't felt anything as strong since but at my appt Wed the baby kicked the Doppler as the nurse was finding the hb. It was so hard she felt it.

  • I have an anterior placenta as well but I think since this is my 3rd time around the block I know what is gas and what are little kicks.  I don't feel much yet but when booger gets smooshed he/she lets me know :)

Same with me! I have felt some movement, but definitely not what I should be because of the placenta. I didn't know this until I went for my a/s yesterday (because I was starting to get worried).

Almost exactly this, except one week earlier for flutters.

  • FTM here...I felt movement starting around 16-17 weeks. Now I feel it pretty consistently. Tonight (18w4d) I felt a kick with my hand on the outside for the first time.

  • 18&1 today, FTM and not sure if I felt LO move or not. Twice I thought I did, but it's so infrequent that I'm not sure. It's totally freaking me out and getting in my head. :-S
