That escalated quickly

So my 9 week old just sat up by himself. He's been trying to sit up from laying down for the past week well today he did. He pulled himself up with my hands then just let go and stayed there for a good 5 minutes. Please tell me I'm not the only one dealing with this?! I'm not ready for this! He's suppose to be a little munchkin forever!

    Wow! My dd flipped from back to tummy and I thought that was impressive. At 12 weeks she still bobbles a ton doesn't seem close to sitting on her own. Way to go LO!

    My LO won't roll over to save her chubby butt, but she has started sitting up from a reclined position on her own.

    Wow! That's pretty awesome he can sit up already. I think my DD is too chubby to do anything but smile and baby talk. Okay, I take that back...she pulls things up to her mouth.

    Whoa, that's pretty advanced! I was impressed with LO's neck strength....she's been holding her head up pretty steady since 4 weeks but that's a whole 'nother level.

    I'm not leaving him by himself or allowing him to sit like this all the time but it's kind of hard to control when he's leaning to sit up in the RnP, boppy, and car seat. My moms a RN and her nor the doctor seem to think anything is wrong with this. He is not left alone and it's not like I'm putting him in a bumbo to encourage him sitting up. He likes to sit up and look around.
