AW: Your Valentine's Day

So, did SO/DH get you anything nice? Do something nice for you? What are you planning for him?
Are you going on a date? Let's hear it!


Me: I woke up at 3 to feed LO and found the display below when I went into the kitchen. Flowers and a card for me and wedding pictures in the 3 Lenox frames that have remained empty since our wedding.....in 2009! I'm excited we finally have pics in them! Also a card, flower, and candy for me from LO, and a card and gift to LO from DH. So cute. In my card from LO he wrote "I love you mommy, will you be my valentine?" Cue ugly cry.
I haven't opened LO's card from DH yet lol.

Our date will be tomorrow to Perry's steakhouse. MIL is watching LO.

How's your day shaping up? I'd like to say that all you ladies with inside babies better get chocolate.

    I got a over sized card and your typical chocolate box,some chocolate covered strawberries (which I ate at 1am) A massage&pedicure gift card and a new cheese grader... Long story.... But his ass is still in the dog house! We had a mouse in the garage (kids didnt close the garage door all the way ) and his ninny self, I had to get it out and disinfect the garage (because anal/paranoid) so I'm super sore :/ ..... I haven't gotten him anything yet, not 100% I will ****rolls eyes with her moody self***

    Yeah this was kind of us and then I woke up to that at 3am so now I'm trying to figure out what to do for him.

    I got DH a box of mini Reese cups (his fave) that we shared the other day and a chocolate chip cookie cake (his niece is trying to fund her way to a humanitarian trip to Ecuador, so she was selling them. It arrived last night and he's super excited about it).
    I will literally be shocked if I get more than a "happy valentine's day" a kiss and a hug. DH is BAD about gift giving. I haven't gotten a birthday gift for 2 years, even with reminding him for a couple weeks before each time.

    We don't really do much for Valentine's Day. We used to go out to dinner when we were first dating. The third Valentine's Day in a row that he took me to Olive Garden, I asked him if he always took me there for V-Day on purpose. He hadn't even realized that he did, so now we go there every year, but just sometime in February, not ever on Valentine's Day. We went there last weekend for our last family date night before baby. 

    I am going to give him a card, and I think I'm going to get him a groupon for a golf course near us. He deserves a day of golf after all he has done for DS and I these last 9 months! We'll usually have something special for dinner or dessert, too, but I just don't have it in me today.

    We don't exchange Valentines gifts (just a card) but we're hopefully going to see The Lego Movie tonight!

    DX: Unexplained/??? MFI issues

    Our lil' lost sparks:
    5w3d loss 7/30/10 - EDD March 2011
    8w loss 4/15/11 - EDD November 2011
    8w3d loss 8/2/12 - EDD March 2013
    4w c/p loss 10/29/12 - EDD July 2013

    Long story: trying on our own + testing testing testing with 6 rounds of Clomid, more testing, injectables + TI, laparoscopy - one tube blocked, 2 IUIs with Follistim...BFNs.
    RPL testing all normal, Karyotyping normal

    Moving on to IVF.

    IVF #1 April 2012 = BFN, IVF #2 June 2012 = BFP. U/S 7/23 = saw heartbeat but measuring behind. Follow up U/S on 7/30 - no heartbeat. D&C 8/2. Trisomy 12. IVF #3 Oct 2012 = Chemical Pregnancy

    Phone consult with CCRM on 12/12/12 - ODWU 1/4/13 - both tubes clear(!) - AFC 24, AMH 3.2, FSH 9.6, LH 5.4, E2 25. DH has high frag rate but improved!
    IVF #4 March 2013 CCRM. EP protocol w/ Menopur, Gonal-F & Dexamethasone. ER 3/29 & IMSI, PICSI. 43R 13M 10F 6blasts bio'd. CCS testing reveals 3 normals!!!
    FET 5/31/13 of 1 4AA blast - thawed and expanded. 4dp5dt BFP.
    Beta 9dp5dt = 181, 11dp5dt = 427. 1st u/s showed a healthy heartbeat! EDD 2/16/14

    After 4 years of hoping and heartbreak, our sweet little bean was born on 2/19/14
    We are so in love with her.

    I am excited/relieved to not have to work anymore, and proud I made it this close to my EDD (19th), but I am also scared/nervous about leaving for 3 months. I haven't taken any vacation longer then 2 weeks in the 8+ years I've worked here. 
    Yes! I actually ugly cried about it last night. I've been at my place for 12 years (our EDD, Sun, is also my work anniversary date!) and I'm going to miss seeing my friends/coworkers every day. It's like going home during the summer from college or taking a REALLY long trip. So many emotions. I was surprised how much I was feeling last night. Also... because hormones.

    We have no Valentine's related plans and aren't exchanging gifts. He has recruits on campus all weekend so he's busy working. I'll join them all for dinner tonight. And no chocolate here - GD diet and all.

    DH and I don't really celebrate valentines day by exchanging gifts. We usually get each other a meaningful card. Our dating anniversary is on the 13th so we usually go to dinner at the same place we had our first date at every year. Depending on what day the 13th falls on with work schedules we just try to go as close to the 13th or 14th as possible. This year with a newborn, it's a little different. It will be the first year in 8 years we don't follow tradition.

    But I did wake up to him giving me my fave drink from Starbucks and a giant orchid plant (my fave flowers). And oopsie...didn't get him a card or anything.

    My hubby HATES Valentine's Day and refuses to do anything on it. I do like the Day and want to acknowledge it. So he sent me flowers weekly for the past 3 weeks. And I made him a little gift basket of his favorite snacks this morning with cut-out hearts and flowers taped to them.

    We had MIL watch M so we could go out for a sushi dinner. It was really short because I had to get home in time for the next feeding. But it was nice to get out, get dressed in something other than sweat pants, and spend time with DH. And it was awesome to eat sushi and have a glass of wine.

    We did cards and an Indian takeaway....Emily objected to us spending valentines together and screamed for four hours for no reason so we ate dinner and slept in shifts - romantic :)

    I got candy and lots of hugs and lunch from Cheesecake Factory. We also went to build a bear for DD1.
