Morning ladies! I'll be heading to l&d in about 2.5 hours. Yes, I should still be sleeping, but DH decided tonight would be a good night to snore like a Mac truck. I am not impressed by this, and he will pay dearly for it one day soon (just need to figure out the perfect revenge). I've got to get a couple rounds of antibiotics, I had one test positive for gbs and one test negative, but the Dr wants to play it safe. Water will be broken around noon, then pitocin shortly after that. So much for my one last shot at a non-induced baby. I had pregnancy induced hypertension with my first two, and while it was great this time around, was creeping up at my last appointment on Tuesday and after baby had a pretty sluggish nst the day before, figured it was time she made her arrival. Happy Valentines Day ladies! I'll update later :) Update 1 Just a quick update so I can grab some more sleep. Sophie Kate was born at 2:55 pm on Feb 14 after emergency c section. She's doing fantastically, as am I. After about 2 hours of pitocin I asked for an epidural. The contractions were brutal, and I told them I kept feeling the pain very, very low. Sophist had been having, some stress with the contractions (dropping heart rate), but note to a major degree. The nurse turned back around saying she was going to check me just in case they asked, as I was only at 1.5 cm 2 hours prior.her face went wait and she told me. I was only at 3cm, but she just shook hands with my daughter. Off to get the dr. Dr came in two minutes later and tried to get her hand back inside and behind her head but she just kept pushing it back out. 10 minutes later I was in the or for an emergency c section. DH couldn't come. He's vassal vagel (blood/needles/eat make him pass out). He made it until I was out the door before collapsing on the couch. It took 3 attempts, through 4 contractions, to get the spinal in. Then the anestiologist decided to give me a small amount of morphine to help the recovery pain, despite the giant red "allergic to morphine" bracelet I had on. Sigh. Section was great, but I've been dealing with horrific nausea vomiting up until about 20 minutes ago when I kept some water down. This is due to the morphine. Good news, Sophie feeds and sleeps like a champ, my pain level is at most a one, and I might get to go home later today because I'm doing so well. Sorry for formatting / spelling - I'm on mobile.
