Friday workout

Woo-hoo! Five days this week! Every week this is my goal, but lately I have been falling off on Fridays. It helps that DH got me all new exercise equipment for valentines day. At first I thought it was kind of unromantic (well, it kind of is) but I have been bugging him for some of this stuff for awhile. He got me a nice sturdy box for step ups, a couple new kettle bells, a new dumbell set, and an ab wheel. I have quite the little home gym going now. Between the toys and workout equipment, my den has lost any element of interior design it might have once had. How did everyone do this week? Who has exercise plans for the weekend?

Re: Friday workout

  • Does shoveling snow count as an exercise plan? Cuz we're supposed to get more tomorrow morning.

  • I feel like a slug this week. My wed and Thursday classes were cancelled due to snow and I can't go today bc a kid woke up with the pukes. I did go in yesterday and made my own kick ass circuits though but almost ended up in a ditch on the way home

    I count it!

Awesome! I've exercised four days this week then. Probably tomorrow too.

  • Sorry @spooko, that sucks. I am in the same boat. I don't know what else to do other than eat right and exercise.

  • Have you tried eating the what instead of how much @spooko?

  • I made it to the gym on Tuesday.  I tried yesterday but I was interrupted by a poopy diaper and I didn't have an outfit change.  Whomp whomp.  I'll try again today and tomorrow.

  • Yeah, snow shoveling should really count. :)
  • Made use of the childcare at the rec centre the other day for the first time. Left baby there while O went swimming with my SIL and I went tothe gym. Hadn't left baby alone before so that was a big step!

Question: running seems to leave me with a headache for 1.5-2 days after. Any thoughts on the reason? Poor posture? Not enough water?

It could possibly be your running posture.  I am dealing with some pretty bad tension headaches right now, and the neurologist explained to to me as having a 16 lb bowling ball at the top of my neck, and if I am leaning forward it puts a lot of pressure on my neck and causes the headaches.  I do think you are supposed to lean forward slightly when you run, but bent at the waist?  So that you have a straight line from the top of your head to your waist.  Make sense?  Am I right other runners out there?

  • But what about the rest of the diet? Are you loading on veggies and good stuff or eating carby meals?

  • Tonight, my plan is to go for a run at the gym. Hopefully I can get in my full hour long run, and not die doing it. Tomorrow, it is supposed to be really nice, and sunny, so my plan is to take the kids on a short hike before the weather turns to crap again.

My Shaun T Focus T25 is supposed to be arriving in the mail tomorrow! Iam beyond excited about this, and I cannot wait to start the program on Monday!

  • I got in 4 days this week. It wily have been 5 but that stupid foot of snow kept me from the gym. I did shovel though.

  • Did 30DS level 3 every morning this week. Going to do tomorrow, too. But then we leave for vacation. I think lots of sightseeing while carrying a baby is going to be my workout while away.

My post pregnancy jeans have been ridiculously big on me lately, so I wore a smaller pair today. Had a bit of a muffin top, but not too bad. I'd rather look sloppy than fat though, so I'm going to get a smaller belt and rock the bigger ones for awhile longer.
