I'm just curious if any other 3rd tri ladies are having cramping. Just feeling a bit achy in the low pelvis and hips, kinda like I'm getting ready to start my period. This is baby #2 and I'm 34 weeks. I don't recall feeling like this with baby #1. I've been stuck on bed rest since week 32, so I'm probably just hypersensitive to things at this point. Not much else to occupy my mind

As far as the cramps, I have been having contractions and at first I just hought they were cramps but they had a rise and fall to them. My OB said contractions can feel a bit different for each person but I described them as pain building in intensity, peaking and then descending which he said is a classic description of a contraction. I expected the contraction to affect my whole belly (uterine area) but it didn't start out that way. Mine was only down low. They put the contraction monitor up high and didn't pick anything up. When told them I felt it down low, a contraction was picked up as soon as they placed the monitor. I think cramps are common, but if you have any doubt I would contact my doc. I almost didn't call mine. When he had me come in, they found I was having contractions and they found the reason was placenta previa. I am now on bed rest. If you don't mind me asking, why are you on bed rest?
I am currently on bed rest due to starting to dilate early at 32 weeks. I was only 1 cm, but with all the contractions I had been having since week 18 the OB wanted to be cautious.
