Daycare / babysitter

For those who have to put your baby in daycare or send to a babysitter, how many hours will they be in their care? How many hours per day do you have to spend with Lo?

Re: Daycare / babysitter

  • I go back to work in 2 weeks when my LO is 12 weeks and my husband is letting me go back part time so she will be at daycare three days a week from 7-2:30.

  • I work full time, so my kids are both in daycare from 7:30am-5:30pm. I spend two hours after school with them until bedtime and about 30 minutes in the morning, plus all weekend.
  • My LO is 6 weeks and I just went back to my full time teaching job. She is there from 7:00 am until 3:30 pm. Once I get home, I split my time and energy between her and my 7 year old DD. It's rough but this momma has no choice.
  • I am in the same situation as Yeah. I
Go back to work full time in 3 weeks. My LO will be 12 weeks old by than. I work FT and he will be in daycare from 7:15 am - 5:30 pm. Hubby will drop him off and I will pick him up. I work from home 3 days out of the week 2 days in the office. LO routine will be bath, change into pj's and feeding at 7:30 pm. He is in bed at 8:30 pm. I just pray he will be sleeping through the night by than! He is usually up at 2 am for a night feeding and back to sleep and will wake up again around 5 am. I will have him all to myself on the weekends. Wish I did not have to work but do not have choice

I'm on ML for my second LO. I go back to work in three weeks. Both of my kids (two daughters) will be in DC from 7:30 to 4:30. I'll have about 30 mins w them in the morning; enough time for breakfast/ nursing. Well have about 3 1/2 hours at night between DC pick up and bedtime. DH will have then if I go running and/or to the gym for an hour or so of this. Aside from working out and the rare but wonderful date night, I'll have them alll weekend.
At first the idea of having my LO's in DC all day seemed rather daunting. I found w DD#1, once we got into our DC and work routine, it was quite manageable and I really chair chrtished our time together. GL!

  • My kids will be in daycare 630-4 or 5 depending on the day, five days a week. My oldest goes to bed at 630pm which I am hoping changes eventually, but she is a total crab after that and sleeps all night until we wake her at 545am. We have almost 2 hours at night and all weekend with them.
Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!

  • My LO started at the babysitter on Monday from 7:30 - 5:30 five days a week. By the time we get home, get LO fed, and I pump, it is time for bath, bottle, and bed. There is little to no playtime. In the mornings my husband gets him up, changed and fed, and we are out the door. I have no choice but to work full time. I feel like I'm going to miss out on so much.
