productive Thursday

I made bread today, my sinks are empty of all dishes, ran some laundry (and folded), vacuumed and swept my kitchen. woohoo!

why does one dough loaf always come out smaller than the other? I punch the dough down and cut it right down the middle, but one is always smaller. :-/ It irks me

we were snowed in…hence all the productiveness

what did everyone else do today?

I think you were productive enough for both of us. Can you come do mine when you're done?
I went to work. And contemplated wedding cakes. And ate cereal for lunch. Not at all productive.

I cleaned my living room then worked out while A destroyed my living room. And I did a load of laundry. Next is cleaning up my explosive mess of a kitchen while J does dinner and our kid throws an epic tantrum after skipping her nap entirely.

I cleaned my bathroom and one corner of my bedroom, got my baby vaccinated (his face was tomato red and the people in the waiting room heard him), and registered as a parishioner at the church we've been attending.

But my biggest accomplishment today was combing and braiding my hair before it became a knotty mess. This is probably the third time that's happened in two months.

I attempted yo make bread but realized too maye that we're out of yeast. I tried using lemon juice and baking soda, but I succeeded only in making a bread-scented softball. I did manage to pack DS's weekend bag, do some laundry, and clean the kitchen.

I got a boat load of work done at work today, but I somehow still have a boat load left. Made it home just in time to leave for D's parent teacher conference. Fed the boys. Did diaper laundry while DH did dishes. Got my lunch and all the boys' stuff ready for school/DC tomorrow. Now I'm sitting on my butt bumping while watching G tear out all the stuff in his diaper bag.

AND she posted a legitimate recipe that involved bananas. I'm pretty sure that's CD Bumpee of the Month material right there.

But then again, @MapleMe posted a recipe with bananas and rum, so we might have to let them duke it out for the award.

Ds got up at 330 and I never truly got back to sleep after that.....so my major accomplishment is that I stayed awake today.

Finally started sewing my unpaper towels. I think I need to make some adjustments to my machine because the waffle pique is kind of thick and squishy, so it's not staying put the way I would like.

Otherwise got nothing done. Thursday is usually fun day for me and DS -- we have a music class in the morning then we usually get a little something to eat and he falls asleep so I can browse at the book store. Later in the afternoon another mom from class texted me and we met up at the museum. Unfortunately this meant I forgot that we had a grocery delivery scheduled. Oops.
