I am for real about to have a temper tantrum. The Fratellis, one of my ALL TIME favorite bands, is finally coming to town. The concert listing has not been on any of the radio stations lists, or ticketmaster, any of the emails I get. I checked the website not that long ago and there was no local date. They pretty much never play in the Western Hemisphere, let alone local.

Guess who can't fucking go becasue I have to go to the stupid ass Firefighter's Ball? And before you tell me the ball sounds like fun, let me assure you it is not. It's like going to a super boring wedding reception where no one gets married and the speeches last for 2 hours. We have to go because DH is his union's president. I think he should get out of it somehow. I mean, it is even in a small club! WAAAAAHHHHHH!!!

I would pass on the ball. DH can always say you had a prior commitment you couldn't get out of.

I would, but really, when I say they are coming "here", I mean they are coming to the closest big city, Toronto, which is like an hour and a half drive.

So, I think I convinced him to try and get out of it. Last year we skipped a concert long weekend in Ottawa for the freaking ball. He is going to see if his vice pres can give the Award, and make sure he isn't getting any. They are one of his favorites too, so I would feel way too bad to go without him.
