Who is having one? My son is only 2 but back then no one was really doing them. It seems like everyone has one now. I wasn't on Pinterest but now I am and I've been pinning ideas for a party. I love party planning and I'm pretty excited to do this even though it's my second . What ideas are you planning if you are having one? The only thing I know is I want to have cupcakes with the filling blue or pink and have everyone bite into their cupcake at the same time for the reveal! DH and I will be finding out the sex then too

We did a reveal at our baby shower, in part for this reason, with DS. I had the doctor write it on a card and place it in an envelope and we waited until our shower to open it so it was a surprise for us too. I really didn't mind waiting, but my mom was constantly telling me she couldn't believe I hadn't opened it early!
We wouldn't do a specific gender reveal party thing though.
Son 4/27/12, Son 10/15/14, Daughter 9/29/16....Baby #4 due 10/09/19! Apparently we get really bored in January
I LOVE this idea for revealing to your kids:

I wouldn't have one, personally, but I might do the whole "turn your head and look the other way" thing. Go out for dinner that night with the husband and reveal it together.
If I lived close enough to family, they'd be there too and it'd be one big ole showdown.

We wont do one this time. Maybe just send everyone a picture or something. I saw something really cute on Pinterest. It was a black and white photo of the big brother painting two handprints on the moms white tshirt then a color photo under that with the blue paint they used.
Oh my gosh. I want to do that. So cute!

With this one, I just feel that we should do something similar so that it's equal. Maybe just have my ILs open a box with colored balloons the next time we are all gathered together. Not necessarily have a party specifically for the occassion.
I just don't have the energy for all of that. I am hoping to plan a surprise party around that time for my DH's 40th.
I also just got married last year so having too many parties revolving around my life choices makes me uncomfortable. Having all my favorite people in one place is wonderful but was really overwhelming for me.
I think some of the reveals are really cute but we are probably just going to get the news at the as.
