Crap, I have a toddler-PR

DS was such a monster at dinner last night.  Took him out to a nice, loud restaurant where he loves the food.  He was crazy.  Not interested in any of his beloved books, when his food came he hoovered it like an animal, then proceeded to toss his plate on the floor, and pull my hair while I was picking up his mess (which was quite amuseing to the table next to us).  The day before we took him out to luch and he was an angel!  Ugh.  When we planned this trip to Europe he was a perfectly behaved 12 month old.  He turns 17 months today.  I am so going to be that bad American parent who lets her kid watch the iphone nonstop at dinner when we are away because I will be damned if this kid ruins my dinners in Italy!

For real though, any dinner table friendly toys or activites your child really enjoys?  Or any fun apps?  I wanted to download some stuff and save it for the trip so it will be new to him for the plane and tricky meals.

  • Can you download some videos that he can watch? That's what we plan to do for our car ride to Florida. The Fischer Price apps are a big hit with DD. They keep her attention for a while.

Yeah, I'm gonna fill all our devices up with Bubble Guppies, Yo Gabba Gabba, Peppa Pig, etc.  I'll check out the Fischer Price apps, thanks

  • Welcome to the club.

DS liked Tozzle, although he's recently kind of outgrown it. There are some fun drawing and coloring apps too.

-My son was born in April 2012. He pretty much rules.
  • At that age we brought crayons and coloring books, cars and videos on our phone to keep him occupied while out to dinner. We also sometimes had to take turns going outside and walking with him because he could not sit still. I hope it goes well.
  • We take DS for a walk around the restaurant after ordering to break things up. It really helps. As far as apps, check out the Wonderkind seek and find ones, Alligator Apps animal flash cards and Storybots.

  • DD likes animal bubble pop, toddler cars, toddler food, toddler tools, toddler shopping and wash pets. Oh and bug smash. She also Loves any games with shapes.

I will say that I have been disappointed with the bubble guppies, team umizoomi, Dora, etc games.

Oh and if you get free games on your phone they have ads but if you put your phone on airplane mode then the ads won't pop up :)
