The floor of my bathroom. When Jude's particularly worked up, the ONLY thing that can calm him is the rattly exhaust fan in our bathroom. I've pumped, shaved my legs, had a glass of wine and read while in here with him (not all this morning!). DH brings his guitar in here, and I'm wondering if our wireless signal would make it this far... If we're not careful, he'll wind up thinking this is his bedroom.

What's your LO's happy place?

I have this great app on my phone called sound sleeper with all kinds of different white noise sounds. One of them is a fan and it sounds big and loud and rattling versus a ceiling fan. Maybe try that?

Yep, I use a white noise app too. LO loves the ocean waves one, but I prefer the plain old white noise one.

Pretty funny that your little guy loves the bathroom exhaust fan! Hey, gotta do whatcha gotta do.

Brennon likes the bathroom too, but he likes the running water. I took 2 baths a day during third tri to help with pain management. That probably has something to do with it.

DS likes the sound of the shower. It's nice because then I can give DD her bath and take my shower all while he sleeps in his bouncer.

Dd likes the swing. I always liked living on multiple levels but if we were planning on having more I can see why a ranch would be nice. I have nowhere good to set her down when I am upstairs or in the basement.

We always used the fan w DS and we use it now w DD. I love the sound myself so I can see why babies are soothed by it.

Haha, I know, random! Esp. because we never normally use it, as DH & I shower with the door open, and, seriously, this fan is so loud. We discovered it last week: After running a super hot shower to get steam going and help with his congestion, DH flipped on the fan and it was instant. Jude's eyes widened and you could see something just click. Cue zone out and a few minutes later, ta da!, sleep.

Aubrey loves the kitchen... It has so many lights, and when that isn't enough she always calms down with the faucet on. I've brought a chair in there and spent some time lately.
