Please to help me with foodz.

I need to start changing up what I eat everyday for breakfast, lunch, and snack.  I'm getting bored n' shit. 

My day is normally:

Breakfast:
Greek yogurt with almonds and sometimes craisins mixed in
--or--
Egg in the hole on wheat bread) (You may laugh at the name of that dish.   I giggle every time I make it.)
--or--
Shredded wheat

I also have a piece of fruit

Lunch:
Corn tostada with salsa verde chicken, black beans, tomatoes, lettuce and cheese
--or--
turkey sandwich

I also have a salad

Snack:
Piece of fruit and a serving of almonds
--or--
Another yogurt with craisins mixed in

What do you guys eat for breakfast and lunch?

So help you god if any of you say McDonalds...

Because I've been craving McDonalds like whoa.

  • Breakfast: coffee, banana, and yogurt

    Snack: Carrots

    Lunch: Protein bar or shake and cottage cheese

    Snack: Orange or Apple

    Dinner: different all the time

  • Breakfasts:

    -cup of egg whites with spinach and a bit of feta, slice of wheat toast

    or

    -green pumpkin pie smoothie (3/4 cup pumpkin (from a can), cup of unsweetened almond milk, 2 dates, frozen banana, dash cinnamon, dash pumpkin pie spice, as much spinach as you can shove in, a few ice cubes)

    or

    -when I am pressed for time, a scoop of chocolate protein, half a banana, a couple tablespoons of pb2, almond milk, ice

    Lunches:

    -This week I made a big batch of chicken salad on Sunday.  Chicken breast, grapes, apples, slivered almonds, greek yogurt, salt/pepper, little mustard.  On a whole wheat low carb wrap with a yogurt.

    or

    -On Sunday I will cook up a few chicken breasts, bake a few sweet potatoes, and sautee some kale, portion out into tupperwares.

    or

    -Make a big pot of ground turkey breast with onion, zucchini, mushrooms, peppers, eggplant (any veggies), canned diced tomatoes, and italian seasoning.  Kind of a soupy like thing.  Maybe add a little cooked barley, farro, quinoa, rice, whatever to make it more filling.

    By egg muffins do you mean like an egg mcmuffin or when you put egg and a bunch of other stuff in a muffin tin and bake it so it's like a legit muffin?  

    @marbee1214 - I will have to try those oatmeal recipes.  I love steel cut oatmeal but instant or quick cooking oats can fuck off and die.

  • Sometimes I make Turkey Chili on the weekends and bring it in for lunch during the week.

  • Depends on if I'm dieting or not, really.

    Breakfast - oatmeal with fruit and almonds, toast and PB and a banana, veggie egg white omelette that I make the night before and reheat

    Lunch - salad with chicken, soup, sandwiches, leftovers

    Snacks - yogurt, fruit, 100 calorie packs, pudding cups, popsicles  (depends if it's a "hungry" snack or a "dessert" snack"

  • For breakfast I eat quinoa and oats. You can buy a bag a target. I mix it with brown sugar and almonds. I split it with DS2 almost every morning.
  • I made Monte Cristo's for DH last night.

    I had a salad....blah

    The second one. I don't think I've ever actually had an egg mcmuffin.

    I like cut up cherry tomatoes and feta. MH likes crumbled sausage and cheddar.
    I usually put in shredded cheddar and thawed potatoes o' brien.

  • I really highly suggest the salsa verde chicken, guise. 

    Put a few lbs of chicken breast into a crockpot.

    Dump 16 ounces of salsa verde over chicken. 

    Cook for 2 hours on high. 

    DONE and it is delicious.

  • I'm posting to follow. I've been doing bad for breakfast. Just bought oats so I can get better.

    Lunch is usually leftovers or salad.

    Snacks are fruit or veggies

  • For breakfast I have Special K oatmeal with craisins and almonds. Snack is Greek yogurt with dark chocolate and almond slivers. Lunch is usually a Lean Cuisine. Second snack before the gym is a power bar and then dinner is different each night.

  • I eat pretty much the same thing everyday:

    Breakfast: rice cakes and PB

    Snack: Greek yogurt

    Lunch: turkey/chicken sandwich and veggies and hummus

    Supper: usually lean meat, brown rice and veg/salad

    Snack: Popcorners and a cookie

  • I am boring. I eat hard boiled eggs or yogurt for breakfast. And left over supper for lunch or I go to the cafeteria for pho. I hate sandwiches.

  • Breakfast: boring scrambled eggs, or cereal, or oatmeal, or frozen multigrain waffle. Nothing exciting but these are easy things I like.

    Lunch: soup or leftovers. We try to do big batches of crock pot stuff - one favorite is chicken with taco seasoning and a can of crushed pineapple. I add black beans and sometimes rice and take it for lunch.

    I also made some stuff the other day that nobody liked but me and took that for lunch: ground turkey, spinach, quinoa, mushrooms, garlic, some Parmesan cheese. It was for stuffing peppers but I just ate it from a bowl.

    Snacks: string cheese, fruit, hard boiled egg, nuts, yogurt, baby carrots. I also have a bad iced coffee habit but hey it's better than a brownie.
