It makes my butt look lumpy and doesn't hang right. I don't know if a smaller size would work better but this definitely does not work! My other dress was a medium and so is this one so I guess if you want to try it I would order a size down.

It seems like your underroos may be the problem. I don't think it looks bad, I just see panty lines and clingy fabric. Maybe a different pair of roos with a half slip? I always wear a half slip under my skirts and dresses to smooth everything out.

Yes, this. The dress looks fine to me, just needs something to smooth out the bottom. I think if you go one size down, it will be too small, especially in the bust. It's really pretty colour!

I love the color! I ordered a similar style dress from target but it was long (maxi) and it made my butt look weird too. I think being pregnant, it's better to have a dress that has a more substantial fabric than knit or jersey otherwise it just hangs funny. (on me at least).

Pregnant or not though, whenever I wear a knit dress I wear spanx or the like to slim out my butt and thighs.

I tried taking them off and still looked lumpy. Maybe I just have a lumpy butt. The top is wonky on it too. It's actually baggy.

Remember the mannequin they display the dress on isn't pregnant, so the dress is going to look different on any real body, especially a pregnant one. It looks like the shoulder-underbust measurement on the dress is longer than yours. Sizing the dress up or down won't really help with that; you can try taking it in a bit at the shoulder seam and see if it helps. Otherwise, the dress seems to fit alright. The fabric is a clingy knit. You could wear a slip to try to help with that, or try pinning a few safety pins inside of the hem to relieve the static and help the dress flow more freely.

I find wearing maternity leggings helps me with the lump issues.

My mom mentioned trying to work on the top a little. I think I might hang on to it and see how I feel after delivery.

Once the baby bump has gone down, you'll be able to pull the top down a little lower so that it hangs right on the shoulder, and probably won't need to alter the dress. Looking at the label again, it looks like it's in the maternity section, but was designed specifically to be a nursing dress. Nursing clothes are cut with a little extra room to account for post-baby paunch, but most of them don't stretch to be the most flattering on a 3rd-tri body. I bet all of the fit issues will go away once baby is born, and it'll be super cute.

It's an adorable dress, and I love the color!

An option is to get a different size and have it tailored. One thing I've never liked about ON is that their cuts are never consistent. I've gone in, tried on a pair of jeans, was happy with the fit, and bought the same exact style and size in two different chades of blue. I get home, and the one I didn't physically try on didn't fit at all. Especially with dresses, I often have to buy a size up from my pant or shirt size and have the area of it that's now too big, altered to fit correctly. And I deal with this no matter where I shop.

DH and took a cruise a couple years ago, it was a 12 day cruise and they had a nightly dinner dress code that said no shorts, jeans, cutoffs, etc. I bought several inexpensive dresses from Target, Kohl's, JCP. All but one (a wrap dress) had to be tailored in some way. I also wear Spanx under dresses that are a little more close to the body, to smooth out any spots that might show more due to the nature of the fabric and the fit.

It's not you, that fabric is the worst. It needs serious undergarmenting. My normal choice is spanx or control top pantyhose, and those are always covered by a half slip so the dress will slide over everything properly.

I agree. I can't wear a dress like that without some kind of support. I like longline girdle shorts. Something shaped like this. I just order up a size or two or buy a less supportive pair when I'm pregnant.
