I set up the registry at BRU during the deal where you earn 10% back on items purchased from your registry. Over time, I have spent around $200 buying things from my own registry. During checkout, I used my rewards card.
Well, the other day I was at BRU, buying the play yard we wanted. It had been discontinued, they only had 2 left, and it was on clearance, plus the 25% off on top of that from the trade-in event. The new edition of the play yard isn't a pattern/color I like, so I prefer the older one anyway. I couldn't pass that one up.
Anyway, a staff member told me that if you use your rewards card when you check out, they don't give you credit for buying that off of your registry for the 10% back... I was pretty upset because everything I've bought has been using my rewards card so far! It says nothing about that in the terms and conditions listed on their website.
Today I did an online chat via the BRU website and asked about my concern.
Rep: The
Conditions only state "Qualifying purchases excludes: gift cards, VIB
loads, purchases made with a BRU completion coupon, buyer protection
plan, Apple products, tablets, video game hardware, assembly/delivery
fee, warranties, shipping and handling, taxes, and items on lay-away".
Rep: You should be find if you are using your Rewards card.
goodgal: So I can use my rewards card and still earn the 10%?
Rep: Yes ma'am!
Sounds like everything is ok. But I can just see them not counting it. At least I have it in writing (and emailed to me) and they would hopefully honor it!
