    It's always heartbreaking to hear an abuse story. I can't imagine ever harming anyone whether that be a child, the elderly, an animal or just any human in general. It's so gross. Shame on people.

    This kind of thing makes me sick. My sister is a social worker and even she says dcf is way over loaded with cases of reported abuse and neglect and they can't possibly look into everything they should with the amount of funding they get. I see it at school from the teacher end too. Neglected kids who aren't "neglected enough" to look into. I'm with you...more funding for our kids!

    As someone in the adoption community I know lots of foster moms- and it's really horrible to hear them tell about the situations that they know children are returning to. At the same time- the thought of a mama losing her rights to parent is also horrendous---but there does need to be better oversights about these cases.
