7 week old poop

Hi there,

I have a 7 week old and he usually pooped a few times a day up until 2 days ago. It is 12pm on day 3 of no poop. Is this normal? I exclusively pump so he only gets BM. Wondering if I should call the doctor or if it's normal to go a few days without poop. At least 6-7wet diapers a day. If if is normal how many days is normal without poop before I should be concerned? Thank you!

    Normal breastfed babies can go up to 10 days without pooping as long as LO is happy and eating and peeing I wouldn't worry, just their digestive system maturing

    Im having the same situation with my 7 week old. Just yesterday and today she has had only 1 bowel movement each day. They seem a little more watery then the others in previous days. I also feel like she is trying to push but nothing is coming out. 

    FTM worries, I will call pediatrician tomorrow.  

    Good to hear it could be her system maturing.

    We had 3 days if no poop and then today was 3 days worth of poop in one diaper! Followed by another 3 poopy diapers. So we are good to go :)

    Our girl is two weeks old and hasn't pooped for two days. I asked our pediatrician, and she said it's totally normal; it just means the baby's body is using everything it's taking in at the moment. :-)
