Well, we have officially begun. we decided on an agency last night and have begun the staggering amount of paperwork. I am excited and also experiencing intense emotions. After almost 2 years of disappointment, this feels like another exercise in futility. I am hopeful and we do feel 'better' about this but still….. Also, the agency is very intense about the low number of adoptions in our state and our same sex status precluding some families from choosing us. We get it, but it's a little sad to hear.
Either way, I am hoping to become more active with you all here and am glad to have you all around!

Congrats!! We are still deciding on an agency but got the same speech "Colorado (where we live) has a very low placement percentage so be prepared to wait"... kind of discouraging but I believe it will happen when it's meant to... good luck to you and DW!
