I've started weaning my 7mo from ebf to ff. She nurses anywhere from 7-10 times per day. Obviously once she's on formula only it'll be less feedings in a day. How do I drop all of the nursings comfortably so it's not too painful or so I don't get an infection? I introduced one bottle for the first 3 days, 2 bottles for the next 2 days, and now I've started 3 bottles(which will also be 2 days), and so on. She's been drinking 6oz. bottles so far with the feedings I've already weaned, so once she's on all formula about how many times per day would she need to drink or about how many hours apart? She always nurses before every nap and bedtime, but now she won't need to drink that much. Should I just give her an ounce or 2 before naps just so we can keep with her routine? Thanks in advance, and sorry if it's confusing! I'm a first time mom...as if it wasn't obvious!
Re: Ebf to ff
Soon after, I went to only 3 breast feeds a day. Then I just stopped and pumped until I was comfortable. Good luck, hopefully the transition will go well
