big things in the works- moving and changing jobs

Short back story:

We sold out condo last year, and now renting a apartment since we couldn't find our forever home. Me and DH feel isolated from our family since we're about 1.5 hours away from them, and we feel they barely see DD. The only reason we're out here is because of DH's job.

DH brought up what we're going to do for housing after our lease runs up in May. We always told ourselves to stay out here, because of his job, which we felt was the most important reason to stay out here. We realized that if we do stay out here, we'll be stuck renting, since the cost of living is so high here. DH told me we should look for houses where we grew up, and that he might consider finding another job if we find our house.

So, the next few months are definitely going to be crazy, hectic and stressful, but in a good way if things go as planned. DH sent me his updated resume today, basically fortifying that he's going to go through with it. He's been with his company for 10 years, so this is a big deal. I'm so proud of him.

Anyway, I just need some good vibes sent my way. Any advice on house hunting or house searching would be greatly appreciated. Thank you ladies!
