How long after you started to loose chunks of your MP, did you go into active labor?

Just curious. I just started to notice mine coming out every time I go to the bathroom. With my first, my water broke and then everything slowly started from there.

I started losing chunks of my plug around 38 weeks... I didn't go into labor into 40w4d

With DS my contractions began as I started losing my MP. Normally though losing your MP isn't a very accurate sign of impending labor.

Lost mine at 40 weeks and was induced at 40 weeks 4 days.

I never noticed losing mine either time. It does regenerate so seeing some doesn't really mean much. Baby will come

I had DD at 39 weeks and started losing plug about 2 weeks prior.

I haven't lost my plug yet (just a few days shy of 38 weeks), but I did ask my midwife about this "regeneration" notion. She said that your mucous plug does not regenerate, but some women lose it so slowly that it seems like it must.

I am on the same page as you with the regeneration. Lots of talk about the MP regenerating on forums, but I have yet to be able to search and find legit published literature saying it can in fact regenerate.
