I'm bringing Accountability back

All right ladies I'm bringing Accountability Group back.  Feel free to check in on Weds, or msg me if you have a thread idea.

The last time we had AG I was looking for a plan to follow.  I got really discouraged with W.Watchers, which I normally LOVE, but I felt the new plan left me hungry.  I did some searching and I'm now doing My Fitness Plan.  I have my days and sometimes weeks where I struggle, but I just have to remind myself to get back up and start over.

This morning I eating a Lean Cuisine E.white, turkey Sausage and cheese brkfst sandwich, which isn't bad really and I'm treating myself to a Or-ida hash brown which I stuck in my toaster about a dz times, to brown it, lol

If find that I need to eat a good brkfst if I'm going to make it through the day without snacking on everything.  What do you to help you get through the day?

Re: I'm bringing Accountability back

  • Woohoo, I need some accountability.
I like to eat those breakfast burritos dipped in ketchup lately, I stay full for a few hours. I'm still nursing a lot and am so hungry!
For lunch I buy that doles spinach salad kit and put an egg on it. It's very filling. Or eat leftovers.
If I skimp on breakfast or lunch I gorge at night.
I don't have a plan I follow, I just try not to eat too much junk.
I was only 10-12 ish pounds away from pp weight. Then Zoloft and winter...

  • I need some accountability too, especially with winter making me feel like I just want to be lazy and eat comfort food. I really want to be in better shape by summer so its back to counting calories and exercising.

For me, I eat most of my calories at dinner so I like a good breakfast with not too many calories and its usually soup and salad for lunch. I bought a lettuce saver off of amazon which seems to be helping with making my lettuce last though the week. Now, i just need to find more salad recipes to keep it interesting.

  • @littlefish1, that's ok, I MIGHT have eaten 2oz of peanut butter and a count-less amt of Triscuit minis, plus 1/2 box of Cheeze-it's yesterday at work.  Then I went home and ate a brownie before dinner.
  • As a suggestion that I've found very helpful is to actually try to switch your eating schedule around and try to consume most of your calories before 3-4p. Breakfast is usually my highest calorie meal and dinner is much, much lighter for me. It does take a day or two to get used to but its also supposed to be the healthiest. The 'cheat' is that you can keep eating as late as you want but it needs to be low calorie, water-based (think cucumbers, apples, etc.).

  • I made a cake and had a piece.... DS asked for it for valentines day. It was good. Now I need to not eat the whole thing tomorrow.

  • I just ate a bowl of popcorn while playing Scrabble with SO :( Oh well! I had oral surgery and lost nearly 10 pounds and gained only 2 back! I try to eat most of calories during the day but I am definitely a night binger.. SO did buy a Kinect exercise game for the xbox and at first I thought it was silly but I was actually sore the next day and I worked up a nice sweat. So my plan is to do that every other day and watch what I eat. Hopefully going from a couch potato to really trying will pay off! We plan on getting married this time next year so I have a year to lose some of these baby pounds!
