I am telling you guys because I am actually too embarrassed to talk about this IRL. A stranger assumed I was pregnant today. I am not. I have a small frame and lost all of my baby weight (I have a 3 and 5 year old), but after two c sections, by tummy has a little pooch. I actually get asked if I am pregnant at least once or twice a year. I think I look pretty good, other than the little tummy. I wear a size 8. I think it's because I have a smaller frame and then the tummy is my only problem area. I have no idea. I really do not think I look pg, and it make me feel soooo bad when people assume I am! I try to cover up my tummy by wearing larger shirts, which I think makes it worse. Feeling so down. People and their big mouths suck.
Re: Ouch: someone asked if I am pregnant. I am not :-(
Hugs.
Ugh, I'm sorry. That has happened to me twice in my life. The second time, I responded, "No, I guess I'm just fat," thinking she would be mortified when she realized her own inappropriateness. Nope, she said "Oh, well, I am too" and walked away.
I was also shocked at how early people felt comfortable asking me whether I was pregnant when I actually was pregnant. Who points to the belly of someone 12 weeks along and asks, "What's going on there?"
Fucking people suck.
My co-worker got asked a lot when she was having TTTC because the meds made her gain some weight. I was extra shitty because she wanted so badly to be pregnant. I wanted to punch those assholes for her.
I'm surprised more people are not aware of this rule.
