Went to the doctor yesterday and inquired about an IUD. I was told the manufacturer raised the prices, but the insurance hasn't caught up with the corresponding coverage. He, apparently, is also under contract as to how much he can charge.
Reader's Digest... I can't get an IUD until whatever ridiculousness is straightened out I'm told. I walked away with a script to the mini-pill and an offer of nexplanon.
Question: I see people talking about their IUDs left and right... Is this not happening to anyone else? It seems it would be more of a widespread issue if it began with the manufacturer.
Also... Any BFers do nexplanon? Tell me about it. My dr said it won't effect my supply at all. I have done zero research on it, though.
Re: Issues getting IUD?
He's going to call me in a couple months to reassess the IUD, but still... Grrr.
A friend suggested that, too. Is that something a doctor would do, I wonder? See me for a procedure but not become my doctor? Guess it wouldn't hurt to call...
