How long is a burp session? How often? What positions works best for you? How hard do you pat his/her back? When do you feel satisfied that you're 'done'?
My DS has entered into a fussier stage and it's clear he has gas and needs to fart. I wish I could have relieved the air bubble before it headed south. I believe I'm burping successfully but come afternoon, he's red faced and pushing out farts. I'd love to hear more about what you're doing! TIA
Oh, and I looked for a previous thread about this but didn't find one so if I've missed it, feel free to share the link. Thanks!!

When I bottle feed him, I stop to burp him every 1/2 to 1 ounce. We also have gas problems and while I'm sure this helps to some extent, he still has screaming fits sometimes until he passes gas.

I also found that it helps to lay my DS down for ten minutes if he did not burp and then try it again as it usually gets things moving along.
This is exactly what I do!
